The City Diorama will feature details about events, exhibits and programs; stories of interest pertaining to the museum community; weekend and weekday “best bets”; and other information about museums and related attractions in the 21 municipalities of Metro Vancouver (formerly the Greater Vancouver Regional District). Since my home is in the City of Vancouver, there will likely be a greater emphasis on museums and related attractions within the city.
This resource is intended for visitors to and residents of Metro Vancouver, museum workers, and anyone who simply loves museums. The City Diorama will serve not only as a directory of museums and related attractions in Metro Vancouver, but will also bring together all of the things you want to know about the region’s museums and related attractions, including suggested activities for the weekend and weekdays. As museum exhibits, admission fees, and opening hours change regularly, you are encouraged to regularly click on the links that appear on the right side of the page under “Museums & More” to access each institution’s most current visitor information. You will also find other attractions in this list (e.g. Stanley Park) as these venues often host events or exhibits that appeal to museum goers. I look forward to sharing information with you about the wonderful museums (and more!) in the communities of Metro Vancouver.
